Logging In with Google

Google login is only for writing comments. For regular users, see Managing Users.

Prerequisites

Running ManualWorks over HTTPS

To log in with Google, ManualWorks must run over HTTPS.

Setting the Base URL

To log in with Google, you must set the base URL in General Settings. If the base URL is not set, the Google login button is not shown.

The ManualWorks server gets tokens from Google's oauth2.googleapis.com and user information from openidconnect.googleapis.com. If you restrict the server's outbound connections with an allow list, we recommend adding both hosts to the allow list.
