When you create an HTML file, note the following.
Compressing into a Zip File
When you export to HTML, a zip file that contains the following files is created.
HTML files
Images
JavaScript
CSS
Icon fonts
Attached files
Inserted videos
When file creation is complete, download the result. The result is a compressed file with the zip extension that contains HTML files, images, scripts, CSS, and other files. After you extract it, open the 7index.html file in a web browser.
Using File Names When Exporting to HTML
When you export to HTML, files set as links are exported as well. The exported files use the 1original uploaded file names instead of UUIDs.
If a file with the same name exists, “2_NUMBER” is added before the extension.
Adding Extensions to Image Files When Exporting to HTML
By default, extensions are added to image files. To not add extensions, run the following command in the Console.
set-preference -name SUPPORT_HTML_IMAGE_EXTENSION -value false
All extensions are in lowercase. If the original image file has no extension, png is added.
Differences from the Web Viewer
The web viewer is a feature that the ManualWorks server provides in real time. In contrast, when you export to HTML, you can use the result independently of the ManualWorks server. You can upload it to another web server. You can also attach it to an email and send it to other people.
HTML files look similar to the web viewer, but there are differences. Some of the main differences are as follows.
