Creating EPUB Files

When you create an EPUB file, note the following.

Starting with ManualWorks 6.0.18, the EPUB 3.0 format is used.

Setting the EPUB Cover

To set the EPUB cover, follow these steps.

  1. On the document details page, click the <Build File> link.

  2. Select the <1EPUB> tab.

  3. Select a theme.

  4. In “Cover Image”, use the <2Choose an image.> link to set the EPUB cover.

  5. Click the 3 button.

Hiding a Chapter in EPUB

To hide a chapter in the EPUB file, follow these steps.

  1. On the document details page, click the <Update Chapter> link of the chapter to hide.

  2. In “Exclude” in the “Style” panel, select “1EPUB”.

  3. Click the button.

Hiding a Paragraph in EPUB

To hide a paragraph in the EPUB file, follow these steps.

  1. Open the editor.

  2. Select the paragraph and click the <1Optionscheck_box> icon.

  3. In Exclude Element, select “2Web”.

  4. Click the 3 button.

The paragraph is also hidden in the web viewer and HTML files.
