Changing Java for the Windows Service

If ManualWorks is registered as a Windows service, change Java as follows.

  1. Stop ManualWorks in Windows Services.

  2. Open Command Prompt as an administrator, and go to the 3RABBITZ_HOME\bin folder.

  3. Run the following command. Replace the path with the path to jvm.dll of the Java you want to use.

tomcat9 //US//3Rabbitz --Jvm "C:\open-jdk\jdk-25.0.1\bin\server\jvm.dll"

Check the Java version you are switching to. If it is earlier than Java 25, ManualWorks notifies the administrator to upgrade Java when it starts. If the database is H2, Java 11 or later is required.

You can also change the Jvm value directly in Registry Editor under <Computer | HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE | SOFTWARE | WOW6432Node | Apache Software Foundation | Procrun 2.0 | 3Rabbitz | Parameters | Java>.

  1. Start ManualWorks in Windows Services.
